Our trip to California was awesome. There were 13 of us - MH, me, the 3 divas; Gma & Gpa; my bro - G, SIL, and their 4 kids. It was a blast. Our plans were to arrive Sunday night, spend the day Monday at the beach and then go to Disneyland for 3 days. However, once we got there all of the kids were so excited we couldn't put them off an entire day. Our hotel was right across the street - it was great to be so close.
Entering into the Park is an experience all it's own. It is so magical. Walking up the sidewalk and hearing the music playing. Watching my brother was the best. He loves this place. He is such a kid. Actually, all the adults were almost more excited than the kids. One thing amazes me. There are hundreds of people that visit Disneyland every day. And that place is SPOTLESS. No garbage on the streets. The bathrooms are even clean. It's amazing.
We were pretty lucky because we really didn't have a lot of crowds to deal with. Ok, yes there were people there but it wasn't horrible. Once we entered, even before we headed down Main Street, there was Mickey and Goofy so we got pictures and autographs right away. It was great. We were able to get on all the big rides and not have to wait too long. It was pretty cool because Gma was in a wheelchair (she had back surgery several months ago and can't walk long distances) so some of the rides we were able to go through the Exit and they put us right on the ride. Sweet.
Our Divas were a lot more brave than we thought they would be. I was so proud of them. We probably won't get them on Space Mountain again anytime soon but at least they tried it.
I will post the highlights of the days to follow - way too much to put into one post.
