As usual The Cure did NOT disappoint. Sure Robert is older - a lot older than the last time I saw him. And bloated. But aren't we all? He was brilliant. Yes, I said brilliant. They played for 3 hours! Quite a bit of their older stuff, most of my favorites and a lot of new as well. We had a really great time. MH and Mr. Ally were really great to endure for as long as they did. And I have to say that Ally and I looked FABULOUS!(Click on Ally's link and you can see the video of our pics)
I read somewhere a long time ago that Robert Smith hates to sing Boys Don't Cry which just happens to be one of my favorite songs. He probably hates it because it has been so popular - you know the whole angst that he is so good at. But hate it or not, he did it. It was a great time.
